Hi! My name is Rachel, and I've been a nanny for 10 years now. In 2011 I graduated from The English Nanny and Governess School, which is an intensive program focused on early childhooddevelopment and education. During my time there, I was certified as a Professional Nanny and an Infant Care Specialist, and I received certifications in Infant Massage and CPR. Other courses included Art & Music appreciation, Children's Literature, Infant & Child Psychology, Health & Nutrition, Creative Play, Communication, Awareness of possible developmental delays and Etiquette & Social Skills. In 2014, I transitioned into providing childcare based from my own home. Because of my background in private nannying it's important to me that I provide the same level of attention, consistency, flexibility and communication that I would provide were I working in your home. I will happily come to your kiddos' birthday parties and meet their grandparents! Send me pictures on the weekends or text me with random, child related questions at odd hours--I love the kids I work with and enjoy becoming invested beyond just the day to day arrangement. I'm a big supporter of child-led learning, positive reinforcement, healthy eating and playing outside as much as possible. I believe in fostering the natural curiosity that every child has by allowing plenty of time to play, explore and be creative at their own pace. I'm well versed in the art of potty training and naps! Because I work primarily with children under 5, I would like not to exceed 4 children in my care at any time so that I'm able to provide the best possible environment and one-on-one attention. My home is geared primarily towards toddlers and infants, but I'm happy to discuss caring for school aged children as well! Full-time rate is $350 per week/$70 per day for up to 50 hours of care M-F. Part-time care is a flat rate of $75 per day, and Drop-In care is $10 per hour. I'm extremely flexible with fluctuating drop off/pick up times. I have cats who are social and child friendly, fenced in front and backyards, and am located on a quiet residential street within walking distance of Iuka Park.
