I have worked with people with developmental disabilities for over thirty years.
Our company focuses on the whole person.
ABA alone or any other techniques by itself isnot enough.
I have studies and researched many techniques and strategies that are designed to help people with developmental disabilities,
What I have found over the years is that the most important and most effective way to help a person is to create a life plan that is individualized and emphasizes compassion and care. It is also essential that people and entities that are a part of the person's' family and community system are involved with the individualized plan.
And of course no plan can be used the same way in all environments, yet if there is more consistency with basic helping, then the person will develop appropriate interactions ans skills quicker and with lasting results.
