About
Hello, my name is Yadera and I am an elementary school teacher in the process of opening a state licensed in-home preschool. During my 7 years as a classroom teacher I have learned the importance of creating a safe and inviting environment in which children feel comfortable to explore and learn. This preschool program is geared toward children ages 2 1/2 - 5 (not yet eligible for kindergarten). I will offer a balance of group choice time, where children can develop strong social skills. I will always be available to guide children and teach them how to play with their peers in a fair and fun way. I am an elementary school teacher so I will also offer daily academic activities and games for students to learn and practice age appropriate skills. I am a bilingual teacher as well, so I will teach age appropriate lessons in Spanish. I previously worked in an elementary school where students began learning Spanish in pre-k and that experience has inspired me to offer a similar bilingual program in my preschool.
