Very unsafe, we had a terrible experience where our toddler was repeatedly injured to bruising and bitten and the daycare did not notify us until many hours later or not at all. Daycare didn't notify us until we approached THEM about a serious incident with three bite wounds with skin broken. Please don't put your child at risk by bringing them here.

Hi Jennfer, we apologize for any upset or misunderstandings that may have occurred. We think it is very important to involve parents when the situation seems to upset them deeply. We ask parents what their ideal solution would be or how the parent would like us to approach the situation. Of course, this has to be ethical and taken into careful consideration when it regards other families. Group care settings are not one-on-one, especially for children who are non-verbal. Being able to let anyone know you are hurt is a developmentally appropriate signal. Unfortunately, under the shirt, on the back is hard to detect if teachers' are inspecting visible body parts if a child seems uncomfortable. I wish we could have done more than just remove the child who did bite (age appropriate), and give several reports to parents, both in the form of an action plan, ouch reports, us reviewing footage, emails, as well as three in-person meetings with the owner, parents, teaching management team. Early childhood education is a field that not only children are put first, but we try to build that bridge from home to school, where if there is a concern, then yes absolutely we ask, "What do you want me to do?" We ask for your input. We ask especially if that parent is in our same field; to ask what course of action they feel is appropriate, because we cannot discuss with parents' health-related history of others, we can only suggest seeing a physician, because we are here to observe and correct behavior, if at all possible. In the future, we will be looking for teacher's who specialize in education for young children with different abilities. All children reserve the right to be advocated for and so we thank you for helping us to re-imagine our child-care setting with more inclusiveness and resources. - Little Treehouse Academy (LTA) Community
Our daughter when to preschool at Teremok. She's in 3rd grade now and still has friends she made there. It was a great experience and the teachers really care about the kids.
