I've had a licensed daycare home since 1997, located in Beach Park/Zion-serving areas from many local communities.
Not only do I take pride in, and enjoy teaching children and watching them learn and grow. I have experience with ADHD, RSV, and special abilities.
Located on a quiet cul-de-sac with an acre of yard, fenced in for lots of outdoor play. We go out as much as possible to just be kids. We play ball, jump rope, slide, set up obstacle courses, and much more. When weather permits we eat outside on the picnic table, and do story time before naps.
While doing everything from tummy time to homework, it is very important for children to be able to grow emotionally and socially. They need to interact with other children and adults for basic learning.
While inside we do various things through play to learn. We build with blocks, work puzzles, read books, farms and many car and trucks . Just some examples of things that are motor skill appropriate for smaller children. Also even with this we are counting, naming colors while cleaning up.
There is also coloring, and the educational items, board games and specific learning per age appropriate.
