Worst place dont believe anything half of there staff have no medical background..The office people are more concerned about keeping money then the client care or wellbeing...transportation is only provided at the worker expense..

Almost 2 years with CTL, so this is from my experience and opinions as a parent of an ABI adult child under CTL staffing care. We have been through 8 ILST's, all of which we terminated from our sons staffing for a variety of reasons - except for 1. The same is true for several Companions. In our time with CTL there were 2 Case Managers, one the company parted ways with, the other parted ways with us in an abrupt fashion which left my son without coverage starting today with absolutely no warning from CTL. For families looking at staffing coverage for their loved ones, my suggestion is to "beware" and really qualify in writing and get signature agreement from the staffing companies principals as to what your expectations are for your loved one and what they are willing to commit to. For CTL, I wrote mine, shared it in person, in email and in team meetings so there was NO ambiguity as to what our expectations were. Never got a signature - my mistake. CTL chose to change their "deliverables" and only told us about those changes last Thursday in a team meeting. When we pushed the "changes" in our sons care plan expectations, CTL chose to terminate my sons staffing the next day, Friday, but didn't tell us until today, Monday. We tried all weekend to reach the principals, case manager and ILST for CTL (on a totally different matter) and I even talked with the Shift Manager Sunday evening who told me she could not reach any of the people from CTL. I'd say the worst characteristic and experience has been the seeming lack of reasonable qualification of the applicants. We have ended ILST coverage at various times and in some cases in as little as 45 minutes of staff starting because of the misfit with our son and what we all agreed to in the "meet and greet" process prior to them starting as staff. One ILST literally lost track of our adult son and didn't know where he was. We've had staff accuse our son of prejudices, we've had staff call him a liar, and we've had staff take things from his apartment without his permission. Due to falling issues, we have cameras in his home. Even after showing some of these offenses to CTL Management there was no action taken by CTL on our sons' behalf. There were NO drop ins by management - it was a free for all. It was not uncommon for staff to be consistently 10-45 minutes late, or for staff to bring him on their own personal errands or to their "haunts" like driving past a boyfriend's home and similar unrelated to the job activity. When brought to CTL management awareness (tardiness), nothing was done to correct the situation that we were ever made aware of. We have a GPS tracker and it shows locations, speeds and hard braking, etc. and several staffers drove in excess of 80 mph on multiple occasions with our son in the car ...these are just the tip of the iceberg of the things that lead us to this cautionary "Beware" and "be specific" on roles, responsibilities, rules and agreement for staff coverage for your loved one. We even had an ILST that did not meet ILST criteria, yet supposedly served as an ILST. As with many of these staffing agencies, CTL among them, they are eager to get the case on board, but flounder in execution of their responsibilities and duties. Remember - get it in writing and get it signed and dated.
