We are looking for capable and compassionate Caregivers for our 6-bedroom home dedicated to end-of-life care. This rewarding position will focus on providing an environment of warmth, safety and security for our residents and support for their families during this special time. You will be working side-by-side with residents, visiting medical teams as well as our other dedicated staff and volunteers.
Shifts: Every day of the week: days 12-hours, 7am-7:30pm; nights 12-hours, 7pm-7:30am; or partial shifts- minimum 4 hours.
Openings:
#1- Called in for scheduled shifts when our home gets 4 or more residents (could last days to weeks of extra shifts).
#2- Fill-in coverage for vacations, days off, and medical leaves (scheduled ahead).
#3- Fill-in coverage for emergencies, sick calls- can be full shift or partial shift (called in same day).
Availability can be given as full shifts or partial shifts; examples: Available Mon-Fri, 4pm-11pm, Available weekend shifts. Available nights Sun-Thurs.
These positions have possibility to turn into being regularly scheduled if desired.
Responsibilities (need to be able to independently care for up to 3 residents):
personal care: bathing, changing, feeding, hygiene,
laundry, changing linens,
housekeeping,
medication assistance,
meal preparation,
comfort, support, and companionship for resident, family and loved ones.
Applicant Requirements:
Good physical health, ability to lift/transfer.
Cleared TB or chest x-ray and physical within the last year.
Background check with Live Scan, DOJ and FBI clearance (we will provide if needed).
First aid and CPR certifications (we will provide if not previously obtained).
Speak, read and write English clearly.
Caregiving experience, minimum of 6 months for a bed-bound person requiring full care.
3 work or personal references.
Preferred (not mandatory):
Prior hospice/end-of-life experience.
High school diploma.
