Hello! My name is Caroline, a 28-year-old Michigan native living in New Orleans. I have plenty of experience working with children, specifically ages 6 to 13, and two experiences regularly sitting infants. I love to be outdoors and active, to help with homework, and am happy to do light housework when requested. During this difficult time, I'm also hoping to help families with their transitions to online schooling. I am an aspiring educator passionate about math, reading, writing, and Spanish, and hoping to offer tutoring and homework help. I tutored Spanish throughout college, was a volunteer reading coach, am an avid writer, and have a soft spot for algebra (aka, closet math nerd :) ) So if you're looking for someone to help in your home, look no further! If that is not important to you, please look elsewhere! :) The fun stuff: I loved school as a kid, all the way up through college, and am currently taking classes part-time (online) to become a registered nurse. I hope to never stop learning and I love passing on my enthusiasm to up and coming learners! The subjects that I specialize in are: Spanish (Advanced) Mathematics (Elementary to Algebra/Precalculus) Reading Writing (High School) I am also a Certified RYT-200 Yoga Teacher (Wild Lotus Yoga, 2017). As a teacher's daughter, education has always been a priority! I am a college-educated dance instructor with several years of experience in a variety of styles. Regarding academic tutoring, I first began in high school when a teacher selected me to assist a Spanish-speaking student with Algebra. Since then, I spent a semester of college with Detroit Fellows Tutoring, teaching one-on-one reading and phonics lessons to at-risk Detroit Public School elementary students. My artistic background in combination with my practical experience helps me introduce creative perspectives to any topic. I LOVE to learn, and it warms my heart to help others find the same enthusiasm!

-Worked with a second grade student with an IEP, as well as her sibling in third grade, to successfully complete their online learning experience from March-June 2020. -2 years of experience tutoring 5th grade and 7th grade (all subjects, improving study skills), as well as high school students in Algebra and Pre-Calc.
