As a child I had trouble learning through traditional methods, so they labeled me as "learning disabled". I have overcome that obstacle, but because I used to struggle, I know what it is like to have difficulty learning certain things and can teach and tutor them accordingly. I love children and teenagers and love to make a difference, no matter how small. I've also taken three years of study skills and had to assist mentally challenged individuals throughout the class. Teaching and explaining things in a way that is easily understandable is something I've always been very good at. I am a recent Michigan State graduate living in Lincoln Park, Chicago. I graduated in 2017 with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations on a Pre-Med Track. It's an interesting combination, but I wanted to keep my options open! Additionally, it allowed me to receive a holistic college education in nearly every kind of subject! Throughout my time at Michigan State and before through high school, I successfully tutored a range of levels and classes including Algebra, Calculus, French and ACT prep. Over my eight years of tutoring, I have had the most experience in math classes from algebra to calculus. Specifically, at Michigan State, I was a student athlete tutor for two years and I loved it! Additionally, I tutored local high school students in the area in math and chemistry courses. I also have experience in tutoring college level communication classes, chemistry, ACT/SAT prep and general study and homework techniques and management.
