We wanted to share our Philosophy Statement from our Parent Handbook. We at, New Salem Children’s Center believe that high quality care is vital to the early years in a child’s learning and development. Therefore, everyone at NSCC promises to provide a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable environment supported by educated early childhood professionals. Together, we will build strong relationships between families, children and NSCC staff as relationships are the key for open communication which is needed to offer children consistency, guidance, support, and a happy future. We strive to create an environment with developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate exploration, critical thinking, cooperation, life skills and individual opportunities. Our classrooms will include early childhood professionals who not only offer love and care but also help develop the ability to love and care for others. Our teachers use and understand the importance of play and positive interactions with children to stimulate learning in their classrooms. Children develop at their own pace and have the right to be respected regardless of their abilities. We must be flexible and always open to the fact that each child is unique with diverse family backgrounds and cultures. Families will always be encouraged to connect home with the child’s learning environment. NSCC values well trained and educated early childhood professionals so we are knowledgeable and able to provide our families with support and guidance. Together we can celebrate a child’s daily learning experiences as children remember significant moments and thrive when surrounded with positive encouragement. By working together, the children at NSCC will have endless possibilities and will be provided with the highest quality care to the best of our ability.
