My vision for my family child care is to ensure a safe and calm environment for infants to school age children. I love working with children. My child care will take place at my residence. My goal in the next 5 years is to open a facility/center to hold infants and before and after children. I have taken Child Development courses in high school. I obtained my 90 hour certificate to work with children. I am currently finishing up classes to become a licensed Family Child Care provider in Prince Georges County area. I look forward to a fun, learning, and loving journey with your children.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in my daycare. I am a former teacher with 16 years of experience working with babies, toddlers, and school age children. Whether you are changing daycare centers or starting daycare for the first time, I understand how traumatic it can be for both the parents and children involved. Finding a daycare that meets your child's needs and at the same time finding a provider that you feel you can entrust with your child can be very nerve racking. I feel it is very important for the parents and the provider to have a very open and friendly relationship to best meet the needs of the children. I chose to do daycare because of my love for children, not just because I wanted to stay home with my own children. That was an added bonus. I am very proud of the fact that children love coming to my house and complain when it's time to go home even when they've been here the entire day. My background also includes 3+ years of homeschooling and work in fine arts. I believe in having an environment that is safe, structured, friendly, and sanitary, for children. I am also a parent so I understand various needs of children in diverse stages of development. My daycare is a family daycare. Although I have many preschool projects that I do with the children, I do not treat my daycare like a preschool. We have a family setting and my focus is to teach the children life skills such as respecting others, sharing, polite manners, following instructions, responsibility, anger control and problem management. I feel these skills are mandatory before children enter a school setting. Many parents who come from bad experiences are amazed at how quickly they notice the wonderful changes in their children after they start here. I like and love to play just about all sports. I am a good cook who is able to prepare healthy delicious meals. One of my favorite activities to do with children is reading and art. I take pride in how satisfied I've been able to keep the families that have chosen this daycare. I would love to speak with you personally about your family's needs. Please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or by email.Thank you for considering my home for your child's enjoyment and development! I look forward to hearing from you.

Did you know that most of what a child becomes he/she will learn between the ages of birth and five years old? As a mother, after learning this, it was important for me to help prepare my children for a lifetime of learning and a love for school. I understand how difficult it can be for working parents to balance all of their responsibilities in their lives. My goal is to support you as a parent and partner with you to raise a complete, well-adjusted, secure child - who knows their worth, values and gifts. Our program is Christian based and we offer an age appropriate curriculum to meet the needs of the individual child. We offer: Character building, public speaking, early reading, math and science, music, arts-n-crafts, field trips, kindergarten readiness, introduction to Spanish, healthy meals and snacks. We are a Maryland state licensed #160450 and serve families with children ages infant through 5 years old.
