The Children's World School was founded to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for children ages one to five. Our program operates Monday-Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm. Our school year will run from mid August to the end of May. Our calendar is based off the Jeffco School Calendar. A healthy snack will be provided each day for each student and will be served mid morning. The extended day option is from 12:00- 3:30. If students stay for the extended day they will need to bring their own lunch. We are a nut free facility to accommodate children with allergies and work closely with those parents to make sure their children are safe with participating in our program. At The Children's World School we have an original curriculum. Our curriculum is student driven and play based. Our school has over arching themes that students will all be learning about each month though our curriculum will be tailored to each individual group. An example of this would be in the Brown Bears class the oldest students might learn about the Japanese tradition of O-Bon by reading non-fiction books, discovering how things sink and float and by trying to make their own lantern to float! The youngest students our Koalas would also learn about Japan at the same time, but they would be listening to traditional Japanese music, playing with fabric from Japan, hearing their teacher count in Japanese and interacting with hands on regalia from that culture. Children of all ages will be learning through hands-on, play-based activities. We will also allow our students to guide their learning by exploring more of what interests them. Our teachers will be flexible to add things to their lesson plans as they see what interests and engages children in their classes. We aim to include additional areas of study in order to let our students explore different areas of interest.

I like to use Love & Logic positive behavior support. I also like to teach simple Sign Language when babies and simple Spanish. I love talking to babies, practicing tummy time, and giving lots of cuddle time. I am currently scheduling interviews, tours, and have great references.
