I am a 23-year-old mom of a 3-year-old little girl. I have 4 years of experience as a lead teacher for several age groups in some of the best day cares in the Metro-Atlantic area. I decided to stay home to try and keep my daughter healthy and away from germs. I have been running an in-home day care in my house for almost 6 months now. I currently keep one little boy 3 days a week and I am looking to keep 1 or 2 more children. I will only keep a total of 4 children. I will keep school-aged kids before and after school. I live in a neighborhood very close to Auburn Elementary. I'm CPR, First Aid, and fire safety certified. I have completed 10 hours in early childhood education training. I have a high school diploma and have completed some college. I have a squeaky clean background and a clean driver's license. I give out daily sheets at the end of every day. I have a wonderful curriculum. I love watching the children learn. (My daughter will be in Pre-K next year... so I have to get her ready too!) I am a certified teacher with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I have helped take care of kids for my entire life. From the time I was in elementary school, my mom ran a daycare out of our house. Knowing, even then, that I wanted to be a teacher, I helped her every chance I got. Once I got older, I began babysitting on my own, and I continued to do so during my high school and college years. During that time, I also taught dance classes for 3-year-olds to 8-year-olds at a local dance studio and tutored in an after school program at a nearby public school. Once I got my degree, I became a teacher. I worked for 3 years as the inclusion teacher for my grade level. This means that I had a normal classroom full of students that also included several students with special needs. Those three years gave me experience as a classroom teacher as well as experience working with many types of individual needs. Overall, I have extensive teaching, tutoring, and childcare experience that ranges from birth all the way to adults. In March of 2014, I got married and moved to the Lawrenceville area with my husband. At that time, I decided to step away from the traditional classroom and provide childcare full-time in my home. We are now expecting a baby girl in December. Once the baby is born, I will no longer be providing full-time care. However, my home will still be open for short term, daily, date night, and emergency care. At this time, I will not take sick children. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
