Emergency, Backup or Short-Term Childcare in your home or mine. Daytime, weekends and overnight too. I may care for sick children in your home if I have no other children that day. ABOUT ME: I am a single mom of 2 young school aged boys. I have many years experience in caring for children, both my own and others. I am not a sit-around kind of mom. I am a kind, nurturing, eco-conscious person. Your child will have games, crafts, cooking, outdoor time and some outings to the park or other fun places (at your ok). ABOUT MY HOME: I have a large home on the East End of Alameda with a playroom filled with toys appropriate for children of various ages. I also have a fenced driveway and a large yard with play structures, swings, grass and a fun little hill to run down. I have an extra bed and a crib for nap times and a large kitchen for making nutritious meals and snacks (plus a few treats). We watch very little television in my home - what we do watch is educational. AVAILABILITY: Flexible hours, short-notice, after school pick-up, school days off, weekends and overnights too. I'll fill in for your usual child care provider during illness, vacation, family emergencies or mom needs some time off. I'm also available as a backup, or an occasionally regular basis or a few hours a week. I may even be available to care for your sick child in your home if you need to go to work. Since I am a single mom, I can make arrangements with my boys' dad for some extended periods or overnights if needed. I have been a child care provider since high school and have taken numerous child development classes including Waldorf education classes. I co-founded Crosstown Coffeehouse and Community Center and developed the early literacy and kids craft programs and hosted the Cowboy Jared sing-alongs. I have lead sing-alongs and dance-alongs at the Alameda Multicultural Center. I serve on the board at Alameda Head Start and Alameda Family Services. I teach Sunday school at Alameda Christian Reformed Church and I am also the nursery coordinator there. Infant and Child CPR, First Aid, and Asthma Certified

ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS ARE PART-TIME, either 2 or 3 days per week, with specific schedules listed below. At Broadway Children's School, our play-based programs reflect the belief that every child is unique and special, and we nurture and encourage that sense of individuality so that each child will develop within his or her own framework. In a caring and playful environment, we work to help each child develop competency in the social, emotional, intellectual, creative selves that make the whole child. We combine child-centered learning with parent enrichment, cultivating a committed community that offers families a bedrock of support, knowledge-sharing and friendship. We strive to serve a school community that reflects and celebrates the unique and beautiful diversity of the East Bay. It is a wonderful place to learn and grow together! Our indoor space is broken up into many diverse learning spaces for children to explore, and many activities (art, sensory activities, play sets, and pretend play) vary by day. Our large outdoor yard includes play structures, a bike path (with bikes and scooters), a playhouse, a sand area, a jumping tire, and other rotating activities such as a water table, extra large building blocks, tunnels, etc. Students must generally be the age indicated by September 1. The regular school year runs from late August to early June. (Annual tuition amounts listed are for the regular school year programs.) We also offer a Summer School program for current students, usually for five weeks during the summer. Our 4-year-old class (Rainbow Room) meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 AM to noon, with optional extended care from noon to 3. Three teachers (with additional support from the School Director) supervise up to 21 children in this program. Annual tuition for 2022-2023 is $6250, payable in ten monthly installments, with an annual fee of $175. Scheduled extended care is $12.50/hour. Three-year-olds can be enrolled in one of two (Sunshine Room) classes; one meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the other on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, both from 9 AM to noon, with optional extended care from noon to 3. Two teachers (with additional support from the School Director) supervise up to 12 children in each class. Annual tuition for 2022-2023 is $4500 for Tu/Th and $6250 for MWF, payable in ten monthly installments, with an annual fee of $125 or $175. Scheduled extended care is $12.50/hour. Our 2-year-old and parent program (PACT) meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Regular parent/caregiver attendance and involvement is an important part of the PACT program. Parents take turns working alongside teachers in the classroom, and there is a weekly parent support and education meeting on Thursday mornings. Hello! My name is Massiva, and I am the founder of Holistic Seedlings Daycare. I have been working with children for over 17 years, both as a mother and as a professional childcare provider in the U.S. and in Southern France. I run the program alongside my mom and my husband, Younes, who was an early elementary teacher for ten years in our home country. We feel incredibly blessed to care for your little ones while raising our own children as a family. My inspiration to create this program came after the birth of my youngest child. I know first-hand how important it is to have a safe, loving environment where children can grow—and I wanted to provide that same space for other families. My older children attend Montessori and project-based schools, and I draw inspiration from both philosophies to shape Holistic Seedlings. I love how intentional the learning environments are—inviting curiosity, creativity, and imagination in every child. I am deeply passionate about hands-on, nature-inspired activities and cooking with children. Anything we can smash, splash, squeeze, shape, taste, or explore—while learning something new each day—fills us with joy. The children are always delighted when I introduce a new activity, and I find myself happily rediscovering the simple pleasures of childhood alongside them. You can get a glimpse of our daily rhythm by visiting our Instagram page: @holisticseedlings. Additionally, please click here to read what families have to say about us. https://www.wonderschool.com/ca/san-francisco/holistic-seedlings-wonderschool-1007 I hold a B.A. in Human Services and a B.A. in Theatre from Université Le Mirail in Toulouse, France, as well as a B.A. in Archaeology and Art from Bonn University in Germany. I also earned a Certificate in Early Childhood Education and most recently completed a Holistic Nutrition program, where I focused on healthy living and raising happy, thriving children. I’m excited to bring these teachings into our daily practice at Holistic Seedlings. Outside of the classroom, some of my favorite hobbies include hiking and exploring Bay Area trails, swimming, traveling, reading about alternative medicine and nutrition, and cooking. I love weaving my passion for holistic wellness into both my family life and our program, giving children the healthiest start possible. At Holistic Seedlings, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive when they feel safe, loved, and nurtured. Our goal is to provide an environment where children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, every child is supported as they explore new ideas and experiences. Our approach blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and play-based philosophies, enriched with plenty of arts, crafts, and hands-on activities. We believe children develop social, cognitive, and emotional skills best through meaningful experiences. Our environment is responsive to the children in our care, allowing their interests to guide their learning and engagement. Our Lead Teacher, Massiva, is a certified Holistic Nutritionist, so nutrition and physical wellness are central to our daily curriculum. We prepare everything from scratch, and children are encouraged to help make their own snacks—and sometimes even breakfast and lunch. Our goal is to support children’s development in all aspects of life while giving them a healthy foundation. A core value of our holistic approach is flexibility—adapting the environment to meet the unique needs of each child. Children are not placed into a rigid setting; instead, they enter a space that evolves with their interests and needs. Our holistic childcare approach nurtures all areas of development: • Emotional needs are supported through effective caregiving techniques and play-based learning. • Social needs are encouraged by providing opportunities to explore, collaborate, and build relationships in a safe environment. • Physical needs are met with a dynamic schedule that incorporates movement, outdoor play, and a connection to nature whenever possible. We also provide natural, wooden, non-toxic toys that inspire open-ended, creative play. As a mixed-age program, we tailor our teaching and care to the different stages and needs of every child. Finally, please dress your little ones ready to get “messy”! We’re here to create joyful memories and meaningful experiences together. If our program speaks to you, we warmly invite you to reach out with any questions—we’d love to hear from you.

Care Member says "We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Holistic seedlings From the very first day, Massiva has been warm, attentive, and incredibly caring. They...
