Play Based Caregiver

Responds within a few days
I love working with children. I have 45 years experience beginning with being a swim teacher, teaching in public and private schools, homeschooling and raising my own boy on a farm. My present moment, empathetic and problem solving approach with children creates trust and good communication skills as we develop our relationships. Play is the way. Childhood is a unique, short and special time in a person's life and play and imaginary play is vital for a child's healthy inner development as they grow into adults. Supporting children to play in nature and have joyful fun is my basic approach to childcare. Math, language development, science and social studies are a natural and inherent part of our day together because the world is an amazing and wondrous place with many learning opportunities presenting all of the time! Let's explore!

Anne is the perfect mix of outdoor active fun and calm relaxing fun. While she cared for my two boys, she spent the majority of her time with my youngest who was 4 at the time and not in school full time yet. I hired Anne because It was clear that she wanted to have fun and I knew she would help encourage my sons imagination and education through outdoors and exploration. Anne did a great job working with both boys when they were together and made sure they both got to do something they enjoyed. I highly recommend Anne to care for your child(ren)!!

Genuine, Reliable And Flexible Babysitter Available For Evenings And Weekends --Even On Short Notice

Responds within a few hours
I am available for weekends and week nights! My approach to childcare is to foster independence and curiosity while always making myself available to tie some shoes, apply a band aid, warm a bottle of formula and help with math homework. I have experience caring for children ages 3 weeks to 16 years. I was a red cross certified babysitter in high school for neighbors and families in New Jersey, where I grew up. I also worked as an overnight camp counselor with children ages 5-16 for three years in the Poconos. There, I taught creative writing, art, photography and rocketry and assisted with supervising swimming (pool and lake on site) and other outdoor activities. I have a B. A. in Journalism and French from Temple University in Philadelphia, and can accommodate light tutoring or help with homework as well as exposure to a second language! My availability is updated semi-monthly on my Care profile!

Greta has been babysitting our 6yo and 4yo for a few weeks now. Greta is punctual, very communicative, kind, and is not afraid to ask questions. She is doing an incredible job supporting our 6yo son in his virtual learning, and she goes with the flow as there have been schedule changes. She is kind but firm with the kids when they push the boundaries. Also, she is creative and thinks of fun activities to keep our energetic kids engaged.

Loving Caregiver, 16 Years Experience In Childcare

I started working with children when I was 14, as a weekend babysitter for my neighbor's three children. I later become their full time nanny during the summer months. Through this experience I discovered that I love children and have been working with them ever since. In the last four years I have worked in Montessori Schools, as a toddler and infant teacher. I received training from North American Montessori Center and graduated in 2016. I am early childhood qualified with ages infant to three years. I am now interested in bringing my training and experience to the one on one, more personal, experience that being a nanny brings. I would love to find a family with toddler or infant age children and look forward to hearing from you!

My husband and I hired Andrea to care for our newborn daughter at around 10 weeks old. We love Andrea, she is so attentive and thoughtful about her care for our daughter. The questions that she asks shows just how extensive her experience is with babies and children, and we appreciate her professionalism. Andrea treats care-giving as her career, and it shows in her approach to working with us and our baby. She is always punctual, usually early, and she's clearly seen just about everything when it comes to babies given her time working in the infant room at a few schools. She's unflappable and always kind and patient, and she adores spending time with our daughter.
