Management Team

Please meet our management team—a group of people, with diverse backgrounds in consumer internet companies, dedicated to our mission of helping families find trustworthy options for their children, pets, and elderly parents.

Sheila Lirio Marcelo

Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Founder and CEO

Sheila has always been passionate about business and family. After frequent struggles to find quality care providers not only for her two boys, but also following her father's quadruple bypass surgery in 2001, Sheila recognized the lack of resources available to help families address their constantly changing care needs. Thus, the idea for Care.com was born.

Sheila is a leading expert on providing families with care planning advice, having appeared on NBC's "Today Show" and "ABC News Now." Additionally, she has been featured in news outlets across the country, including The Boston Globe and Redbook. In 2007, Care.com was recognized by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business as Best New Company of the Year.

Care.com is a continuation of Sheila's interests in community involvement and helping people through successful internet businesses. Prior to Care.com, Sheila served as an executive at several successful internet companies including: Upromise.com, an online service helping families save money for college; and TheLadders.com, an online service helping people find jobs.

Sheila graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College while juggling an Economics major and raising her oldest son. She went on to pursue dual degrees from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School, graduating with honors and receiving two prestigious awards: the Dean's Award for overall leadership and contributions to Harvard Business School; and the Fitzie Foundation Award, given by the Margaret Fitzgerald Grogan Petersmeyer Foundation, which honors the most outstanding female students.

Steve Boulanger

Steve Boulanger, Chief Financial Officer

Steve understands the difficulties in finding care for both children and parents, and is interested in helping those of the "Sandwich Generation" achieve easier care solutions. He manages all things financial at Care.com, but as a father of two boys, he considers his other job just "watching his kids grow up."

Steve comes to Care.com with extensive experience as a CFO. He has held the position at numerous venture backed technology companies, including FASTech Integration, Inc., OpenPages, Inc., and Smart Destinations.com.

After graduating from Dartmouth College with an AB Economics degree, Steve took his first job in public accounting at the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse. Three years later, he left public accounting to pursue an MBA at Harvard Business School. He graduated with honors in 1983 and has been following his passion for business ever since. He shares his other passion—sports—with his children, and can be found cheering on his sons or coaching their teams when he's not playing tennis, golf, basketball, or soccer himself.

Scott Healy, EVP of Marketing & General Manager

As the father of four boys, two of whom are twins, Scott knows how tough it can be to find great care providers when you need them. He joined Care.com because he saw the need for better resources to help people find high quality, reliable care for their families.

Scott comes to Care.com having developed deep internet business experience as an executive at online purchasing marketplace BuyerZone.com, email marketing service provider e-Dialog, and customer analytics company DataSage (now part of Vignette Corporation). Earlier in his career he focused on creating products and services to meet consumer needs at Unilever, Fidelity Investments, and market research firm Information Resources Inc. He has also worked as a management consultant for Monitor Group.

Scott holds a BA with honors from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Dave Krupinski

Dave Krupinski, VP of Product and Technology

Dave, father of two daughters, is sensitive to the role that quality care plays in balancing the day-to-day demands of career and family. As a co-founder of Care.com, Dave was inspired by the opportunity to leverage technology and the Internet to solve one of the most pressing and important issues that families face today: finding quality care for their loved ones.

Dave has nearly 20 years of experience designing and developing software products and online services. During his career, Dave has held senior management positions at a number of successful start-ups including Upromise.com (acquired by Sallie Mae), Direct Hit (acquired by Ask Jeeves) and Stylus Innovation (acquired by Artisoft). Immediately prior to joining Care.com, Dave spent over 6 years at Upromise.com where he ran the Product Management organization.

Dave holds a BA and an MS from Boston College and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Donna Levin

Donna Levin, VP of Operations

Donna is passionate about the importance of family and the responsibilities businesses have to help improve their communities. Donna's experiences as a mom and care taker keep her focused on her career mission to expand community outreach within the business community.

Donna's career began while still a communications student at Emerson College. She attended school full-time while consulting with Phoenix Technologies and the Family Center. Donna has held numerous leadership positions in technology and operations over the past 15 years. Most notably, Donna was Vice President of Operations at Upromise.com, an online service helping families save money for college.
