Hello, my name is Shelby and I am currently a graduate Occupational Therapy student and I love helping others with schoolwork and studying. I use a strength-based approach when working with others and have experience in Early Childcare which consists of helping children from 4 years old to 10 years old with homework.
I have worked with many children with learning deficits and many who just need encouragement and an extra push. I worked for an AmeriCorps program in Chicago, tutoring children in reading, writing, math, history and science. I also ran educational after school activities that helped with team building and focus.
I'd describe my personality as patient, inquisitive, humorous.
I like tutoring because I enjoy seeing other people succeed. Helping others has always been about bringing the best out of people.
