Hello, we decided to homeschool our 6-year-old daughter this year due to Covid. Homeschooling was always a dream of mine, but working from home allowed me the ability to do so. I purchased a reading, grammar and math curriculum but due to the demands of my job, we haven't been as consistent as I had hoped. She grasps information well and I've enjoyed watching her learn, but I want to ensure she's learning to her grade level. I'm seeking a tutor to help ensure she's learning to 1st grade expectations and to assist with teaching her consistently according to a schedule we can determine together. This would be a long-term gig, at minimum Feb - June perhaps longer. I believe this would be an ideal position for a current or retired teacher as well as a former or current homeschooling mom. Hi! Looking for an experienced piano teacher for my 3 kids - ages 7, 5, and 3. I am thinking 1 day each week from 5-6pm, broken up into 30/20/10 minutes for the 7/5/3-year-olds. Preferably Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. The 5/7-year-olds have very basic knowledge. Will need the applicant to be fully vaccinated and willing to wear a mask. Our kids will also be masked! The tutor should have had previous training in drawing. Ideally I would like the children to learn how to use perspective, shading, form, edges, lines, and angles as well as other basic drawing techniques. My son is 10 and my daughter is 8 and they have had a few lessons but would still be considered beginners. They learn by observing and return demonstrating with gentle critique and plenty of praise for their efforts. Tutoring will be in person at our home in Midlothian. We live in a very safe neighborhood. You will need your own transportation to travel to our home.

Midlothian area - Looking for a virtual learning helper for my 8-year-old son while Mom and Dad are working mostly from home. Duties include sitting with him to make sure he is on track, help with technical issues, answer questions, entertain on lunch break, etc. The job would include lots of downtime where you would be free to study/read quietly in the same room. He is in 3rd grade and has been doing virtual school all year. He is very smart but struggles with anxiety and social skills. Must follow state guidelines for COVID protection with the understanding that you will be coming into our bubble. 3 days a week from 10am-2 p.m. with flexibility on specific days. Start date will be around week of Jan 4.

Seeking a teacher/tutor who is organized and loves young children, to facilitate virtual learning for 7 second graders. The group has been learning together in a dedicated classroom space located in one of the children's homes, since September, and their current pod teacher will be going out on maternity leave. Teacher/tutor will also supplement virtual learning with independent learning activities, enrichment and extracurricular activities, as well as outdoor play. Your job will be to help the kids keep up with their virtual curriculum, while designing some in-person curriculum to keep the children engaged, and to make sure their school day and learning stays fun!

We are looking for someone to help two bright, energetic girls with Pre-K style class work in our home three days a week. Someone who could help with letters/writing/pre-kindergarten concepts, as well as create a fun learning environment that includes arts & crafts, music or nature walks. Happy to provide whatever materials teacher would need. We are a very Covid conscious home, which is why we are choosing to go this route.
