Primrose School of Roswell North is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. Primrose School of Roswell North was opened in 1990 by owners Rich and Chris Coad, who were the very first Primrose Schools franchise owners. Primrose School of Roswell North partners with parents to help children build the right foundation for future learning and life. Our goal is to help children have fun while building Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts.

Primrose School of Roswell North was one of the first preschools in the nation to become accredited by SACS/CITA (The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.) SACS/CITA accredits area elementary, middle and high schools, as well as many colleges. Its concern is improving educational quality in the region and assuring member institutions meet established standards and quality levels.

Every day your child will participate in creative learning experiences from each of our seven learning domains that encompass multiple aspects of development.

Language & Literacy:
Your child will develop listening, speaking, reading and writing competencies to understand and to appreciate the value of literacy for enjoyment and as a means of communication. We love our story time!

Social-Emotional:
Every day your child will build character, self-esteem and a sense of confidence that leads to independence and working well with others.

Social Studies:
Your child will develop an awareness of their place in their family, school, community, country and world. We also focus on cultivating an appreciation for different cultures and languages.

Physical Development & Health:
Your child will participate in a specially-designed physical fitness program that develops motor skills, coordination and body control. Through our nutrition program, your child will learn to develop good eating habits and make healthy choices.

Creative Arts & Expression:
Artistic expression gives your child a range of responses to the world. Music, dance, dramatic play and art activities will all lead to valuable brain development, creativity and self-confidence.

Science & Technology:
Using scientific thinking and technology, your child will observe and explore the environment, form questions, make predictions, experiment and record findings.

Mathematics:
Your child will encounter math concepts without realizing it. These skills are useful in everyday problem-solving, even while creating and playing.

At Water Oak Academy, children thrive in a mixed age group from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. The low adult to child ratio of 1 to 6 allows us to be a family for the day. Parents appreciate siblings being able to develop a deeper bond as they spend the day together. Children appreciate being with one consistent caregiver to build an emotional connection based on trust and intimacy. Children find security in the consistent daily routine. Parents share in our day via our private Facebook page.

Water Oak Academy uses a creative curriculum using research-based early learning standards for children birth to age five called the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS). The curriculum allows a child to develop at their own pace and allows individualised instruction for children that are ready for more. Story time is based on the Rollins Center for Language and Literacy READ strategy to build a bigger vocabulary. Outdoor play occurs twice daily allowing children to develop gross motor skills. Water Oak Academy uses two developmental screening tools designed to screen for developmental delays, the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, (ASQ-3) and the Milestone Moments checklist developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At Water Oak Academy, children are learning through developmentally appropriate practices. Children are not doing letters until they have mastered the five prewriting strokes. Developmentally appropriate practices defines Water Oak Academy s motto, roots before branches.
