Part-Time Tutor. Math/Computer Science/Music
My approach to tutoring is to just meet you where you're at, and build from there. As long as you're learning, you'll slowly catch up and your grades will improve. Most importantly, you'll gain the sense that math is actually understandable! I try to emphasize more fundamental concepts and how to learn on your own. I was blessed with incredible math teachers at Cecil College, and now that I work in a physics lab at Univ. of MD, math is my job!
Beyond that, most of what I do is programming and music. I mostly code in Python. I wrote a program that streams video over my home network, and wired a simple AM receiver and ECG circuit. Music-wise, I have 13 years experience playing guitar, and play songs off of the radio by ear. I enjoy music theory, ear training, and singing.
I love tutoring--it is the opportunity to come alongside of someone and help them achieve something they thought was entirely out of reach. Tutoring is also the best way to better learn the material myself.
