Teaching the Individual Our teachers are devoted to encouraging each child to meet their own developmental potential. Rather than focusing solely on helping children become smarter, we focus on helping each child become the person God created them to be. We believe that social and emotional development is the foundation for ALL learning and strive to create a positive, nurturing environment that helps to teach them who they are and how they fit into the outside world. Teachers develop an individual learning plan for all students and customize their lesson plans to help children stay challenged and growing in their personal development. What Makes Us Different? Unlike most schools, Grow to Be You offers prepaid monthly tuition, giving families the ability to pick and choose dates each month. This gives families the freedom to only pay for days needed without losing their child's spot on the roster. Family life is just as important as early education for a young child's developmental growth. Grow to Be You's part-time, half-day program allows a child to slowly transition from home life to school life, preparing a child for kindergarten while strengthening the family bond. Our Mission: Grow to Be You Dayschool gives children their first exposure to education and social development within a Christian environment. We are committed to helping children grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually in a loving, safe and positive atmosphere through a blend of hands on and teacher directed learning activities. This is accomplished by providing a variety of learning experiences in an environment where learning is fun and exciting with teachers who are nurturing and responsive to your child's needs. Our Philosophy Each child is a child of God and should have an equal opportunity to develop emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually to his or her fullest potential. Children need a safe nurturing environment to encourage them to learn, grow and be happy. Children are naturally curious, learning primarily through guided play. Children learn through all their senses while experiencing active involvement with concrete objects. A mixture of large group and individual activities allows children to expand their horizons and also progress at their own speed. When provided with a strong foundation and confidence in their abilities, children will become lifelong enthusiastic learners.

I am a 23-year-old mom of a 3-year-old little girl. I have 4 years of experience as a lead teacher for several age groups in some of the best day cares in the Metro-Atlantic area. I decided to stay home to try and keep my daughter healthy and away from germs. I have been running an in-home day care in my house for almost 6 months now. I currently keep one little boy 3 days a week and I am looking to keep 1 or 2 more children. I will only keep a total of 4 children. I will keep school-aged kids before and after school. I live in a neighborhood very close to Auburn Elementary. I'm CPR, First Aid, and fire safety certified. I have completed 10 hours in early childhood education training. I have a high school diploma and have completed some college. I have a squeaky clean background and a clean driver's license. I give out daily sheets at the end of every day. I have a wonderful curriculum. I love watching the children learn. (My daughter will be in Pre-K next year... so I have to get her ready too!) RATES: Full time: $100/week (includes food) Part Time: $65/week (includes food) Before/After school Care: $35/week Please contact references for more info! Please message/email/ or call me to set up an appointment.

I have always loved children and the elderly. I wanted to help children learn and become wonderful adults. I teach not only ABC's but life skills as well. I have been caring for children since I was 12 years old. I am certified with Bright from the Start and I have been for seven years. I have been CPR certified since 1988. I have been caring for people with special needs as long as I can remember. When in college up north I lived with a gentleman named Leory with cerebral palsy. I would cook, clean, shop, take Leory to school or to the doctor. We had a lot of fun too. It was a great experience. I was his live in helper for a whole year, great memories. I volunteered at the nurse's office to help other challenged people prepare for classes. I read to the blind (some material was not in braille yet) and helped others with tasks. To date I have been employed by three elderly people as a companion with duties from bathing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, companion, transportation and so on. I am currently going to school full time for Medical Administration Technology and I will be graduating December 2013.
