NOW ENROLLING FOR 23-24 SCHOOL YEAR My name is Carrie Swinferd. I am a certified early childhood teacher & have spent the last 7 years teaching pre-K with Joplin Public Schools. I have wanted to open my own school for some time now, and I have decided to take the step forward, as I see a GREAT need for quality preschool programs in our area. Magical Adventures is a play-based, Montessori-style pre-k, for children who are eligible for kindergarten the following school year.(3 year olds will be considered as space is available & on a case by case basis) We will operate on a 36 week calendar, from August through May, with breaks for holidays. Summer and after school programs may become available based on interest. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood & am a huge supporter of play-based learning, as playing is the best way for children to learn the skills they need to be successful as they continue on into school. While I am not trained in Montessori, I have always liked many of their ideals, and my teaching style definitely has some Montessori influence. My experience includes 13 years teaching in public schools & 8 years of homeschooling my own son. I hold a current Missouri Teaching Certificate.

Hello, and welcome to my Care.com page. My name is Katie Reynolds. My husband and I currently reside in Carterville, Missouri with our 2 children, P. (6 years old) and S. (3 years old). Before deciding to become a child care provider in the area, I was a certified substitute teacher. During my time working out side of the home, My husband and I experienced great difficulty finding adequate, loving, educational and quality childcare in Southwest Missouri. Going through that, It inspired me to start my own childcare business here at home. I like to start off with describing what I provide as something that is rare in this area. I treat the children I care for as if they were my own, and have wonderful communication with the parents though out the day. We serve healthy organic snacks and meals if needed. Some parents in the past have packed their own snacks and lunch for their child during the day. So that is an option as well. We do everything from science projects, to outside games and play, learning the basics that will help them along the way to Pre-School and Kindergarten. I am currently enrolled at Missouri Southern State University, and am taking online classes for Early Childhood Education. This profession has been a long time passion of mine. And I am so excited to put what I learn in school to the test in my home with the children I watch. With that being said, I am looking to develop a long term relationship with 2-3 families that will be needing childcare (siblings welcomed, of course). My mother worked full time when I was younger, and I developed the most amazing life long relationship with the woman that babysat me. I still keep in contact her, and she has always been a part of my family. She has been the example that I try to portray in what I can provide in these young children's lives that come to my home daily. My ultimate goal is for my home to be their home away from home. If this is something that you would be interested in, I would be more than happy to meet with you in my home. I know how scary finding child care can be for your little one. Thank you so much for the taking the time to read this. If interested, please feel free to email me at katie.reynolds4818@gmail.com or call @ 417-499-9092. Thank you again, and best of luck in your search!

Hi! I own an in-home daycare in Webb City. We have a daily schedule, learning time, crafts, hands-on & sensory learning, and lots of outside fun! Nice, clean house in great neighborhood and large fenced in yard! We provide healthy meals, following child care food program guidelines. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I do not provide childcare because I "have to". I opened this daycare because I love kids and want to help provide parents with a safe, nurturing place for their children while they are at work. I was a working parent for many years, so I understand first hand how important the child care decision is with your family. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! Thank you!!

Hello,If you're looking for someone to look after your little one(s), I hope you pick us! When I say us I mean my family and I. My husband works during the day and I (24) stay at home with our 3 children. I have a stepdaughter but we only get her on the weekends. I am asking to watch children on Monday-Fridays only. If you Really need me on the weekends then we can discuss and plan around that. As a mother of 4 I am very reliable and patient. We like to do a lot of crafts and have story time and anything you can think of! I usually let my childrens imaginations do the talking and it goes from their. I have a limit of 2 hours of Tv time a day and it consists of appropriate cartoons and the baby learning channel. I am willing to look after a child from the age of Newborn to 5 yrs old. If they are a little older I am willing to watch them depending on the age. We have a schedule of Breakfast-Snack-Lunch-Snack and of course play/craft time in between. Your children will surely not be bored at my house! lol I do come from a faith background but it will not interfere with me babysitting in anyway. If you want to know more or have ANY questions or concerns please let me know. Thank you!
