Misty's Nursery

7895 W Limelight St Boise, ID

Misty's Nursery is a unique, Montessori~inspired, in~home daycare for infants, six weeks to 30 months old, located just north of State and Glenwood streets in Boise. Unlike traditional in~home daycares, the main living space and several bedrooms of the home have been completely converted into nursery, toddler and sleeping spaces, and there are no other children in the home. We recognize the critical role early development has on a child's later growth, and as such offer an exceptionally low 3 to 1 ratio (occasionally 4 to 1 with toddlers), and focus exclusively on caring for and interacting with the babies in our care. We are passionate about children, especially infants/toddlers. Misty has a Montessori teacher's diploma and has completed the coursework (but not the testing) for a CDA. She also has over 200 hours in training through Idaho Stars during the past year. Misty has worked solely with infant s for the last 4 years (a portion of that as a nanny) and has worked with young children for more than the last 6 years. Melanie has raised several children (including Misty!) and assisted in the raising of numerous others. While new to childcare, Avery adores children and is excited to be a part of Misty's Nursery. We are fully licensed (personal and business) and insured. We strive to create strong bonds with the babies we care for. We believe in the 5 S's (Swaddle, Side/Stomach, Shush, Swing, Suck) for calming young babies. Babies at our Nursery are given opportunities for sensory play, songs and music, sign language, books and art, as well as self~image and self~care activities. This includes carefully selected language, social, cognitive, motor and sensory activities, depending on each child's unique needs. Many of our toys and activities are Montessori inspired, as are our baby gyms, shelves and tables. We practice positive responsiveness with the infants in our care. We also respect the fact that each parent and child is different and needs individualized care, and some methods may not work for your child. If there is a specific way you would like us to care for your child, we are open to providing the care you would like; we realize the importance of a strong co-parenting relationship. Given our small size and low ratios, we focus primarily on children requiring FT care but do what we can to accommodate alternate schedules. Please read more about us, our beliefs and policies at mistysnursery.com.

Kim says "We LOVE Misty's nursery! Our little guy has been going here for the last 6 months and it is worth every penny. Knowing your child is happy and well taken care...

Preparing the whole child for a lifelong journey of learning is the primary goal of the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes at Riverstone International School. Located in southeast Boise, the Preschool and Pre-K programs are part of a larger preschool through high school community. Our small, nurturing environment and experienced staff focus on the cognitive, social, and emotional well-being of students while building upon the strengths of the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum. The Preschool class is designed for students who are 3 years of age by the first day of school. The student: teacher ratio is 14:2 with all instruction in English. Themes of study center on the meaning of friendship, expressing themselves through spoken language and art, building classroom community, and sharing the planet. The Pre-Kindergarten class is designed for students who are 4 years of age. The student:teacher ratio is 18:2 with dual language Spanish: English instruction where one teacher instructs in English and the other instructs in Spanish. Themes center on how to be internationally minded, how people express themselves through universal languages such as math, art, music, love and dance, as well as how the world works. In both classes, activities are student-centered and developmentally appropriate, with a balance between free-choice activities and small group directed activities. Listening, pre-reading, and writing skills are promoted in Language Arts activities. Students learn math with hands-on manipulatives. Art, music, PE, and library time are integral parts of the week. Full-day or partial-day options are available. Please view the Preschool and Pre-K tab on the Elementary School tab on the website or contact the Admissions team at admissions@riverstoneschool.org for more information.

I specialize in only infants and toddlers so you do not have to worry about school age kids running around your precious little one. I've been in business here in Boise for almost ten years, I am licensed, CPR/first aid certified, and background checked. My name is Dainey Thompson and I am the owner/operator of Lil' Sprouts Childcare in Boise, Idaho. I am the mother of a ten year old boy and four year old girl. I have been working in child care since I was 19, first as a professional nanny and house manager, then as a live-in nanny for a young boy, and finally I have owned/operated my own in-home child care business in Nampa and Boise, Idaho for the past ten years. I, as well as my employees, are all licensed, background checked, and CPR/First aid certified. In addition, we take continuing education classes yearly to keep up on all of the new information that a child care provider must know, for example immunizations, SIDS, food safety, and activity planning. I love my job and it allows me to be the stay at home mom that I always dreamed of being. I would love to meet your family and show you around. I have never had a family leave unhappy and remain close friends with my clients for many years. I would be happy to provide you with reference. Come and be a part of the Lil' Sprouts Family, give me a call today 208-761-5522.

25 year old nanny!

5308 N. Edenburgh Way Boise, ID

3 mi

Hi there! I'm Amanda, I'm 25 years old and I love children!! I've been working with kids for the last 10 years. I started out working with children with disabilities, providing one on one care, implementing goals individually for each child. It was an extremely rewarding experience. After about 4 years of being in that field up until recently, I've worked in child care settings working with infants to school aged children. Teaching preschool was one of my favorite parts of my experiences. I've worked with up to 20 kids at a time so I feel comfortable caring for multiple children. Although most of my experience is in a school setting ( minus babysitting outside of that ) I'm really looking for a fun new change so that's why I'd like to be a nanny. I have an almost 2 year old daughter who is my world! I'm super fun loving, attentive, patient and caring person. Any way that I can help children to learn, grow and have fun is why I do what I do! :) I'm CPR/First Aide certified as well as having my CNA license.

I've watched children in my home for 11 years. I'm licensed, CPR, First Aid, and am part of the Under the Umbrella food program. We have organic milk, fruit, and vegetables delivered weekly. I do a full preschool, and most kids learn to read before school. My preschool is based on the Boise school district's Handwriting Without Tears. It helps them transition to school, familiarizing them to the curriculum they'll experience there. I provide transportation to Valley View Elementary. All ages of children are accepted.
