About Zofia

Hello Parents and Caregivers! I'm Zofia, a former Special Education teacher of 6 years with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Early Childhood Education, both from Columbia University. While I now work healthcare, I provide the same patience, creativity, and high standard of care with all childcare and tutoring. I am new to California, but am NYS certified to work with children from infancy through 2nd grade, and am both child and infant CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. I am also certified to work with children with disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, Speech-Language impairments, and other health impairments. My philosophy is rooted in joy, empathy, and love of learning. Utilizing a whole-child approach, I'm able to navigate tricky situations with consistency and patience- from homework woes to big feelings!
