About Giselle

I would describe myself as eccentric, patient, and understanding. I love tutoring because there's nothing better than seeing a student truly "get" a concept. I started tutoring in high school through a peer program and later worked for a year as a tutor with the San Francisco Unified School District before becoming a teacher's aide at San Mateo Elementary School. I'm in my final semester of college, applying to master's programs in education, and working toward becoming an elementary school teacher. I'm looking for a tutoring position that is flexible with my class schedule. Growing up with both a younger sister and an older brother taught me patience and how to support children with different personalities including those who may be uncooperative or easily distracted. I'm quick at reading people, adapting to a child's learning style, and building strong rapport. I bring enthusiasm, empathy, and hands-on classroom experience to every tutoring session.
