About Zoe

Education: I have a BS in biochemistry, a BA in sociomedical sciences, and recently graduated with my MS in molecular biology. I am currently working towards a PhD in molecular biology and genetics. Experience: I have been teaching or tutoring in some capacity for over a decade. I have worked as a tutor (both private and small groups), TA, and independent instructor to teach subjects from art and social sciences to math. However I specialize in teaching natural sciences such as biology and chemistry. I have taught at all levels from elementary to college courses. In both teaching and non-teaching roles, I have extensive experience working with children of all backgrounds including those with special needs. My teaching philosophy focuses on meeting students where they are at, adapting material to meet their unique needs, and fostering a love of learning. I focus on understanding and skill building over rote memorization.
