About Zaina

I am currently an elementary school teacher in the greater Austin area. I teacher second grade. While teaching, I am learning a lot about what children in elementary school need from their educators to succeed. Positive reinforcement is a major tool not only to guide students academically, but to boost their self esteem. A student that believes in themselves is far more likely to reach their goals, that is why educators need to prioritize the emotional wellness of students first. I have experience in helping students improve through intervention in literacy, math, and social studies. Data from state testing allows me to track my progress as an educator and I am proud of the difference I make for my students. I am interested in teaching home schooling or private tutoring. I love teaching in a school setting, so I feel I can make an impact in a smaller setting with the skill set I've obtained in the classroom.
