My name is Zahra and I am a first year master's student at UW. I am pursuing my MS in Speech-Language Pathology and I hope to work as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in the future! I started babysitting for family friends when I was 14, and since then, I have worked as a babysitter, nanny, and tutor. I was a karate instructor for 3 years and managed classes of children aged 4 to 14. Recently, I completed an internship working with preschool and kindergarten aged children in speech and language therapy, and another internship at a dual-language K-8 school. Currently, I am a nanny for a 1. 5 yr old. I'm moving to Seattle in September and I'm available to work with your family in any way that you need! I am willing to babysit, tutor, prep meals, and coordinate pick ups and drop offs from activities. I can provide my resume and references as needed. Zahra is a natural with kids, and goes above and beyond as a caregiver/nanny! She has been warm, loving, and engaging with my almost 2 year old son. She spends time actively playing with him and reading to him. Her presence is comforting to him, and he naps easily in her presence. When I come home, he doesn’t want to leave her side because of all the fun he has been having. She will also always tidy up and clean whenever possible, which has also been very kind of her. She has communicated promptly with me regarding any potential schedule conflicts, which gives me enough time to find alternative care. I would definitely recommend Zahra to take care of your children!
