About Yvonne

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their potential. With a college degree and a year of experience tutoring, I create engaging and patient learning environments where students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I assess each student's individual learning style by actively listening and varying my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrating small successes, and breaking down complex problems. Communication is essential, so I provide regular updates to students and parents. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence grow. I can help with Math, English, Science, and Study Skills at the Middle School, High School, and College levels, either at your home, online, in a library, or at a coffee shop. I also have CPR training and First Aid.
