About Yoemy

Hi! I'm Yoemy, a certified educator with three years of experience teaching 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade. I earned my Bachelor's in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, preparing me for General, Special, and Bilingual Education environments, and I'm pursuing my Master's in Literacy and Cognition in Education. I provide elementary tutoring and homework support in reading, writing, phonics, foundational literacy, math, and Spanish. I keep grade-level academic standards in mind while providing patient, encouraging support tailored to each child. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and currently learning French and ASL as part of my commitment to culturally responsive teaching. I'm especially open to flexible, occasional tutoring or homework-help rather than a fixed weekly schedule. Whether your child needs help with a challenging assignment, extra practice with a skill, or ongoing support when our schedules align, I'd be happy to help!
