About Yesmina

As a 10th-year classroom teacher, I have experience working with students in Pre-K through 5th grade and currently teach 4th grade in DC Public Schools. My students have consistently made strong academic gains in both reading and math through targeted instruction and individualized support. I am trained in Structured Literacy, an evidence-based approach that supports foundational reading skills and long-term literacy growth. I believe every child can succeed with the right support, and I work closely with families to develop goals, monitor progress, and provide engaging, personalized instruction. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen skills, and make learning a positive experience for every student.
