About Xochitl

I have 2 years of experience as a writing tutor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and am pursuing my Master's in creative writing at the University of Chicago. I have also tutored peers in my rhetoric/humanities/social sciences courses throughout undergrad and was a writing/history tutor all of high school. I am confident in my abilities to tutor kids of all backgrounds, including neurodivergent students, as a result of my own upbringing as a neurodivergent student from Chicago. I believe in connecting coursework with our contemporary world to solidify understanding of material, in addition to involving art in some way or another! Let's connect! I like tutoring because I love learning and I love helping others "solve the puzzle" of what their brain needs in order to best understand coursework. I'm looking for a job that is flexible but fulfilling I started tutoring when I was 15 and have regularly engaged in it. In my spare time, I like to write and go on runs!
