About Xiumei

Xiumei was honestly the most perfect care taker for our son B. B was a picky eater, a velcro baby, and challenging napper, but Xiumei stuck around and she always gave him the utmost of care and attention. Even though we’ve only had her for 8 months (and I wish we could have her for longer, but we ended up moving homes!), she developed such a special relationship with her son that it pains us to have her leave us. Over time, B learned to love Xiumei and was always so happy around her. He learned to walk and learned a lot of first words (in mandarin and in cantonese) from her. He also adopted the love for outdoor play. We ended up giving birth to our second baby, and even though it was difficult to manage two under two, Xiumei was extremely supportive and caring during those times. Occasionally, she would even care for our younger one. She even took care of my wife during her postpartum by cooking her soup and other meals. Xiumei always made food for our son by bringing her own groceries and cooking for him everyday. This was great exposure to different tastes and textures for him given how picky he was at eating. She also dressed him every morning, washed his face, and fed him snacks throughout the day. We were so glad we chose Xiumei for our family. We would have loved her to be the nanny for our younger one. Too bad we moved further away where the commute for her would not be ideal :( Thank you so much for your love and help Xiumei!
