Xiumei is an absolutely stellar nanny. She worked with us for 2 years, and in those 2 years, she checked all the boxes that working parents need: she is punctual, reliable, great at communicating, open to suggestions and changes. She checks all the boxes that kids need: she is kind, empathetic, patient, loving, observant, keeps them from harm, teaches them to share. I've been hesitant to even start my child in preschool because it means we'll not have Xiumei in our lives as often anymore. My son was a little over 1 year old when Xiumei joined us. He was difficult. He had problems with eczema which greatly affected his mood, he'd get persistent skin infections and rashes requiring an entire collection of different ointments and medications. He had sensitivity to food textures and refused to eat much beyond noodles. Xiumei was incredibly diligent in keeping his skin in good condition while we were at work. She was able to manage all the different medications he needed. She wasn't overwhelmed by his temper when his skin flared. And day after day, she persisted in introducing him to new foods and textures and I credit her 100% with the improvement in his eating. She never gave up on my son and I am forever grateful. If you have the privilege to have Xiumei as your nanny, you'll see what I mean! Thank you so much Xiumei!
