About Wylee

Hi! I'm a patient, thoughtful, and dependable person with a background in psychology and social work, as well as professional experience working as a teaching assistant in an elementary school. I'm interested in helping students with English/language arts, reading and writing, history/social studies, and general academic support. I enjoy working one-on-one and finding ways to explain things that make sense for each individual student. My experience in an elementary school taught me how important encouragement and adapting to different learning needs can be. My background in psychology and social work has also given me extensive experience communicating with and supporting people from a variety of backgrounds. I'm new to private tutoring, but I'm excited to bring my experience working with students and my genuine interest in helping people learn into a tutoring setting. My goal is to help students not only understand the material, but also develop confidence in their own abilities.
