About Wilmer

Hello! My name is Wilmer, a sophomore Civil Engineering student at the University of Miami. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, and I enjoy helping students gain confidence in problem-solving. I began tutoring in high school, mainly working with middle schoolers in math and science, and I continue to use those skills today. My approach is patient, reliable, and adaptable--I explain concepts step by step, adjust to each student's learning style, and focus on building confidence while making learning less stressful. I specialize in elementary through high school math, including arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. In my spare time, I stay active playing soccer, basketball, and going to the gym, which keeps me disciplined and motivated. Families should know I take my responsibilities seriously, always show up prepared, and work hard to create a positive, encouraging environment where students can succeed.
