I have worked with families ranging in size from single parents and only children to couples with six children. Age has also varied with the youngest at five weeks and the oldest child being 12 years. Currently I am a grad student working on my Masters in Social Work here in St. Louis and I am hoping to find a family or two to work with as I complete my degree. Over the years working with different families has been incredibly rewarding. I have learned from each family and have been grateful for the honor. Honestly, it has also be quite a bit of fun! They are not only kind, gentle and playful with my kiddo, but also practices good consent and boundaries, using developmentally appropriate and inclusive language to negotiate needs, teach important and relevant skills and promote confidence and autonomy... all while developing a secure bond. Impressive! It is no wonder then, that I invited them to be a part of my child's care team during the birth of our second kiddo. With their clever sensibilities, extensive education and community experience and their training as a doula, I would trust them with my kids and my own wellbeing!
