I started caring for seniors when my dad was passing away from cancer and he was receiving hospice, and my mom and I were the ones that cared for him. When my mom would have to leave to do daily activities outside our house I would sit with him and try to comfort him by talking to him and playing music he liked as mom couldn't play music on YouTube for him anymore due to being too distraught over how bad he was getting. I would fix him a meal and give it to him, I was just there for him and it made me feel a connection to caregiving which has never left me. Now I am looking to connect with seniors to provide the care that they need, because when my dad needed care, nobody was there for him, and I want to be there for the ones who need me, like he needed me back then.
