About Whitney

I am presently a graduate student at Queens College pursuing my Masters in Education and Special Education as well as my Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. I have about 5 years experience with instruction in a school setting, both in general and special education, as well as private tutoring. A vast majority of this experience took place at the Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University where I majored in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Part of this program was completing hours of direct instruction with children with ASD. I am a certified NYS Teacher Assistant and am currently working as a TA in a self contained class at Hewlett Elementary School. In the past, I have worked as a 1:1 aide at the Floral Park Bellerose School where I was responsible for 1:1 small group and academic instruction for students ranging from 2nd-4th grade. I believe my experiences up to this point in my education prepare me to be a successful tutor.
