My name is Shanta, and I'm a New York State certified science teacher with 11 years of experience teaching high school Biology. As an educator and mom of three young boys, I understand that school can sometimes feel overwhelming for both students and parents. I'm looking for after-school or evening tutoring opportunities with middle and high school students who need support with science, homework, test preparation, or staying on track. I specialize in differentiated instruction and adapt my teaching to each student's individual learning needs. I love making science relatable by connecting concepts to everyday life and finding different ways to explain challenging material until it clicks. Above all, I'm patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping students feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence in their abilities, and become more independent learners.
