About Whitney

I started babysitting for neighbors, family, and friends at about 11 yrs old. I've looked after children age newborn to 8 yrs old. I've worked at 3 different daycares within 5 yrs. I've nannied for 4 different families before, during, and after working at the daycares. First, family I was with for 7 yrs. Second, for 3 yrs. Another for about 1. 5 yrs. The family I'm still with, I've been employed by for over 2 yrs now. There are also two more families I help with regularly. I'm looking for occasional work to fill in the gaps here and there. I have more patience with kids than anything else. I am a firm believer in having the children discuss what is bothering them and helping to provide them with the words they need to describe how they feel. I believe that creating a safe and healthy environment for kids to grow up in is very important.
