About Wendy

We needed extra help with a 94 year old family member who suffers from mild dementia and hearing loss. With the isolation of the past two years, she also needed someone other than us to socialize with, but was VERY resistant to the idea that she needed help. We had tried another caregiver who she completely ignored. Wendy was able to come in and engage her in conversation, mostly getting her to tell stories about her life and experiences, discuss current events. She became more open to having someone in the house to help her. Wendy would prepare meals, clean the kitchen, sit and talk with her for hours, tidy up the bedroom, change the bed and do the laundry, and take her outside for walks almost every day, holding on to her to keep her steady. She was also willing to do evenings/overnights to give us a bit of a break. Wendy is patient, kind, funny and dependable. We highly recommend her. Whoever hires Wendy is very lucky, she is truly gifted working with the elderly.
