About Wayne

I'm an experienced educator and private tutor with a B. A. in Philosophy and a minor in U. S. History from the University of Florida. I began tutoring in 2014 and have worked with students of all ages and learning styles. I tutor English, reading and writing, U. S. and World History, Government, AP coursework, and SAT/ACT Reading and Writing. I previously served as an Associate Center Director at Lindamood-Bell and have experience working one-on-one with students with autism and other learning differences. I'm engaging, knowledgeable, and patient. My strengths are building student confidence, adapting to different learning styles, and making complex material understandable. I believe connecting with a student is just as important as knowing the material. I love seeing the moment something clicks and a student realizes they're capable of more than they thought. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing fiction, spending time with friends, and relaxing at home with my cat, Ripley.
