About Wanda

As the oldest child, I proudly cared for my mother until the day she passed away. I took her to all of her medical appointments, managed her medications and called in refills as needed. I also bathed my mother and helped her dress, cooked and cleaned for her. When my mother was admitted into a nursing home, I saw her giving up and I insisted that I be taught how to administer her enteral feeding via IV, so that I could care for her at home. I also worked with hospice to care for my 86-year-old step father at home. I am grateful that I was able to care for both of my parents at home. I understand that everyone is not able to stay home to care for their loved ones and they need caring and compassionate people to take care of them in their absence. I "graduated" from the OU BOCES 10 month LPN Program in June 2020. I have been working as an LPN in home care with pediatrics clients since 3/21. I also work full time taking care of developmentally disabled adults on the weekend.
