About Vilmarie

Hello! I have over 10 years of experience in early childhood education and ~4 years of experience babysitting. I was an Early Head Start and Disabilities Coordinator and I am now an Early Learning Specialist focusing on coaching teachers of children under the age of 3. I have extensive experience working with children of varying ages and needs. When working with children, I always aim to be incredibly present and attentive in order to best respond to their needs. I follow the motto "control the environment, not the child", which allows me to create incredibly safe environments while ensuring children feel confident in exploring their space. Also, I love being active and silly when babysitting! Sports, arts and crafts, book reading, messy sensory exploration, and awkward Zumba dancing are my go-to's! As a native Spanish speaker, you'll also find me introducing the language quite often into conversations or through music. Finally, I am a Certified Autism Specialist.
