I am a career nanny interested in doing additional babysitting on the side in the Northern Virginia area. I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and completed many Early Childhood Education courses at the master's level. I have a large amount of babysitting, nannying, and pet care experience. I have a younger sister who has special needs, and therefore am experienced and prepared for all kinds of behavior. I am definitely an animal lover. I take my job very seriously and always give it my best. I am CPR and first aid certified because safety always come first, but having fun and engaging those I care for is also incredibly important to me! I am passionate about integrating learning into fun time. I enjoy coming up with stimulating developmentally appropriate activities to do with the children I care for. I am fully vaccinated and boosted.

Emily is very thorough, takes her job seriously, and connects with the kids. She is always on time and enjoys what she does. You can feel confident in her ability to handle and manage the kids and that they are in safe hands. We would recommend her for sure! 

Emily is a phenomenal caregiver. She has been our full-time nanny for almost two years. We have a four year old and a two year old, and her calm, fun, and loving energy with them is amazing. She always has fun and enriching activities for them, makes them healthy food they enjoy (she makes homemade yogurt pops for my son that he devours), keeps them safe, and does an impressive job walking the tightrope between being their friend and enforcing rules and boundaries. She is a safe driver and takes them to classes and playdates (and even a doctors appointment when we needed it), a great communicator with both us and the kids, and an easy person to be around. Don't think twice about hiring her- you and your kids will both be happy! 

Emily was an absolute godsend when she stepped in to help care for my 10-month-old twin boys. Even though the boys had never met her before, Emily knew just how to put them at ease - she didn't rush up to them but let them warm up to her while she played with some toys on the floor. Her patience and understanding of child development shone through.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with Emily's level of experience and compassion when caring for my children. She went above and beyond and was a professional from start to finish. I highly recommend Emily to any family looking for an attentive, responsible and loving nanny.

Emily is a fantastic care provider for our two children, age 5 and 10. Our 5 yo son can be a bit of a handful but Emily always come prepared to engage and keeps both of them busy with fun activities. Emily has driven our children to their extra curricular activities and helps take care of our 2 dogs while she is at our home too. We love having her care for our children!

Emily has watched my infant daughter multiple times, from the ages of 3 months of age to 7 months old. She wore a mask when asked, was very sweet and kind, and also patient with the baby when she cried. Would hire again!

We recently hired Emily as a recurring babysitter for our one-year-old while we work from home. Emily is a very kind person and an extremely engaging caregiver; she spends a lot of time actively playing with my daughter and reading books to her. My daughter clearly enjoys spending time with Emily, and she gets a lot of mental stimulation while Emily is over. Highly recommend!

Emily has been a fantastic sitter for our two young kids, from the time one of them was only 8 months old. She is great with our toddler as well and he asks when she is coming back to play. She's always been on time, is trustworthy and dependable, and clearly loves taking care of children who respond very well to her. 

We've really enjoyed using her and she's always made herself available even at the last minute. Her price is a little higher than others on this site but you get what you pay for and when it comes to your children it's well worth it! She had also been good with our pets as well.

Emily worked with our now 20 month old and was so kind and loving towards him.  He was always excited to see her.  She was very careful and considerate of any possible choking hazards with food and toys.  Emily he's a good heart and sweet nature with children.  You won't be disappointed if you hire her.

We've hired Emily twice now and can't wait to use her more. She helped us when our daytime nanny for our 2 year old called out. I can't say enough good things about Emily. She is calm and nurturing while also being lots of fun. My children actually ask when she is coming back. One time she showed up dressed like Elsa from Frozen and I'm pretty sure my kids thought she was a real princess. She is diligent and and dependable. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Emily has watched our two boys (5 and 2), recently, and in the past we have used her in lieu of daycare during the pandemic. She is excellent with our boys, genuinely caring and patient, and skilled at early child development teaching.

Emily came to work for our family in the Fall of 2019 to assist during the morning times primarily with my 5 year old son, but also with my 3 year old daughter. She would help me wake them up, get them dressed, make my son's lunch (along with other morning routine tasks) and then drive my son to school. She was amazing with my kids and they loved her. She was also regularly on time and very respectful and professional.  In fact, when Covid hit our area and schools closed and we pulled my daughter out of daycare, our first thought was to see if Emily had more availability to help while my husband and I worked. The kids were so excited when we told them that Emily was going to be spending more time with them. She helped them both navigate the new virtual learning environments, she spent hours on the floor with them playing barbies, kitchen, fort, and various other games. She did art projects with them and planted all kinds of veggies and plants with them. She's the best and we miss her!
