About Vian

Hi there, My name is Vian and I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have experience helping children develop gross and fine motor skills through therapeutic neurodevelopmental, rhythmic, and reflexive movement patterns. I like to use a DIR/Floortime model to promote the development of symbolic thinking and affective interactions. I also enjoy working on social-emotional development and teaching children how to identify their emotions to improve self-regulation. I also have experience with children with food aversion/picky eating challenges. Prior to being a COTA, I had years of experience working in the childhood development field as a teacher assistant, handwriting tutor, nanny to twins, and one-on-one classroom support for children with special needs. When I nanny children, I enjoy creating a fun schedule full of learning opportunities while ensuring safety and promoting a healthy development.
