About Veronica

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Veronica for a position with Care.com. I met Veronica as a middle school health education student of mine. She often came to me for advice or just good conversation about adolescent issues. She clearly understands the importance of adult advocacy. Five years later, she applied for a senior internship with me for the last four weeks of the school year. Veronica exceeded my expectations. I was especially grateful for her willingness to reach out to students who were struggling to navigate the emotionally charged last few weeks of middle school. We often see some eighth grade kids start to "lose it" during the transition to high school. Veronica became a huge support to the point that she came back to touch base with several students after her internship was over. Furthermore, she was the only intern who attended the eighth grade moving up celebration. It has been an absolute delight watching Veronica develop into a mature, caring, and responsible young adult.
