Hello, my name is Nitu. I am 26 years old. I am currently looking for a full or part-time position working with infants or toddlers. While I enjoy caring for children of all ages, I am more interested in infants & toddlers because I am looking for a long term commitment with a family. I am very loving, outgoing, patient, caring, and loyal to every family and child that I come across. Children are my happiness. I believe that caring and educating children is my purpose of life, and that is why I am pursuing a degree in speech pathology at Queens College. I work with parents to create a plan for each child I care for. Based on the age and abilities of the child and the wishes of the parents, I ensure that my time with the child is both emotionally and educationally empowering. I believe children of all ages should be outside, associate with other children, go to library readings, zoo, different museums and play dates. Reading is absolutely fundamental and is incorporated into every daily routine. I also enjoy singing songs about everything from the ABC's and 123's to Disney and show tunes. I am very confident in my skills as a nanny, but every child and family is unique so I am very open to learning new techniques as far as how the child is being raised. In addition to understanding the unique needs of children, I understand the needs of parents. I have been a babysitter/nanny since the age of 20. I have dealt with one child as well as siblings of different age groups. Therefore, I have experience with many different types of families. Lastly, I believe a happy home is what makes a happy child. So while child care is my top priority, I also try to help parents by doing light housekeeping and running errands.
