I have had a lot of great experiences in working with children for the last 30 years! I am soft-spoken but firm and loving. I was privileged to be a stay-at-home mom for most of my 3 kids' growing up years. During that time I homeschooled my children for a period of 10 years. When my children were grown I worked for the Greenville Public School System in Greenville, Michigan as a Reading Interventionist for children k-5th grade. I left my most recent position as office manager at my church in Greenville, Michigan. I have had the privilege and opportunity of working in the nursery, and in the children and youth programs for 22 years. I have been working for a few families in Sandpoint and Sagle for the past 4 1/2 years. I am willing to do light housekeeping, simple lunch prep and errands if needed.

Velda has all the qualities moms are looking for in a babysitter- she is patient, kind, takes time to get to know your child and then proactively finds the most creative ways to accompany them on THEIR journey. My son thoroughly enjoys his play time with Velda, they cook together, play together, and go outdoors together - she is gentle pays attention to their needs. I hesitate to recommend her only because our family loves her so much we would keep her all to ourselves if we could! Should you find her available, I know she will make you feel the same!
