Hi my name is Val and I'm a caregiver! I specialize in several categories including (but not limited to) geriatric care and special needs care. I have a niece I have cared for 15+ years. She is non-verbal, g-tube fed, seizure prone, in briefs but fully mobile. I've used many forms of communication with her so I am well versed in positive techniques and methods of redirection for anyone with special needs . I also have a Bachelors of Science in Education from Baylor University in Texas. I majored in health sciences and public health with a focus on pre-physical therapy. I've also logged over 200 hours in clinical work for physical therapy clinics. I currently care for a 100-year-old patient a few hours a day on the weekends but I'm open to accepting new clients!
